    TECHNOLOGICAL BREAKTHROUGH

British scientists have developed an onion--dubbed the "Supasweet"--that they claim will not cause tears, and is so mild, in fact, that it can be eaten "like an apple." Water?) and tearless onions, it ought to be able to do something about those pesky little problems of cancer, AIDS and heart disease.
