SOUTHERN AND, ER, PROUD?
Thousands of spectators gathered, the anticipation as palpable as the slug-sized gobs of tobacco juice, to watch their statesmen compete in East Dublin, Ga.'s Redneck Games. Featured events were--this blog is not making this up--bobbing for pigs, hubcap hurtling and mud pit belly-flopping. The article also reveals that there is a magazine--probably a serious rival to Time and Newsweek, mind you--called Redneck World. Would someone please tell this blog why the Southern states' secession was a bad thing?
