"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

    A REAL PRESSURE COOKER

Apparently being a lobster is a much more stressful occupation than most people would guess. A 40-year-old lobster, dubbed "Lucky" after a dramatic rescue from a fishmonger, has expired due to stress caused by being the subject of an aquarium exhibit. In other lobster rescue news, a 30-year old lobster whose name is Claude and whom this blog is not making up, was rescued from a restaurant table July 17. Somewhere in the world right now, Alaskan snow crabs are jealous.
