We have truly become a global community if, in fact, we have perfected the ability to communicate with pets. A Japanese company has patented two electronic devices, the Meowlingual and Bowlingual, which automatically translate cat and dog "speech" to English. American distribution will begin in August. As a longtime cat owner, this blog hopes that the Meowlingual includes a censor, because most people probably don't want to know exactly what a snotty, antisocial cat is trying to tell them.
