HOOPSTER IN HOOSEGOW
Kobe Bryant, 24, star guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, turned himself in to Eagle County, Colo. police today and posted $25,000 bond after being formally charged with sexual assault. Lakers GM spoke briskly in his defense and the details of the case have been sealed by Judge Russell Granger. This blog will monitor the situation closely and determine if the allegations have merit. If so, Bryant will join the ranks of Allen Iverson and Michael Pittman, among others, who have been inducted into The Voice of Reason Weblog's Athletic Hall of Shame. Rapists should not be role models for America's children.
Sexual violence against women is deplorable, and in this blog's opinion (which is intrinsically correct), crimes of such a heinous nature warrant chemical castration. This blog will hold its scathing criticism of Bryant until the facts of this case have surfaced, but don't hold your breath. More than likely, the superstar is a scumbucket.
