"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

HAVE YOU HAD YOUR BREAK TODAY?

Two Tampa, Fla. sherrif's deputies were hospitalized after ingesting shards of glass that were intentionally concealed in their McDonald's hamburgers, most likely by one of three juvenile employees (and this blog means that in the most insulting possible way) taken in for criminal questioning after the incident late Thursday afternoon. "Col. Jose Docobo said the translucent pieces of glass were nestled between the patties and looked just like onions," reports the St. Pete Times today. Hey, if you can sue the Golden Arches for spilling hot coffee in your own lap, here are two guys who won't have to stay in law enforcement to bring in a paycheck for too long, if you get this blog's meaning.
