"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

    HANKY-PANKY IN THE HAMPTONS

And this blog thought sex on the beach was only a mixed drink! Today's New York Times revealed that the East Hamptons gay community is incensed over police sting operations that have resulted in public lewdness charges. Relying on the sympathies of metropolitan libertarians, many gay men who engage in private acts in public places are condemning the police stings as "homophobic" and "motivated by prejudice." Apparently they consider themselves immune from the same laws that have been used to arrest thousands of straight lovers in Central Park and Times Square. All this blog can say is that seaweed isn't the only hazard of moonlit strolls through the Hamptons beaches anymore.
