"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

    GEE, YOUR CUD SMELLS TERRIFIC

Confirming this blog's fervently-held belief that there is nothing to do in the Midwest, University of Nebraska researchers have developed breath mints for cows. In case you're envisioning bovine Altoids (which would make a good name for a rock band,) this blog should clarify that the "mints" have been developed as an additive to cattle feed. Can you imagine the marketing possibilities? "For that special bull in your life, chew Certs-brand cud. Available at fine feed stores everywhere."
