"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

    BOTANICALS DEFLOWERED

An event that occurs only once every 10 years, the blooming of the titan arum, billed "the world's stinkiest flower" has drawn crowds numbering in the hundreds to the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washinghton. "The plant's smell is described as something like rotting flesh or fish gone bad, earning it the nickname 'corpse flower.' " Yes, this blog knows what you're thinking. Corpse Flower would indeed make a good name for a rock band.
