"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

    SOUTHERN DELICACY OF THE DAY

What could be more enticing than boiled peanuts? While the above article's categorization of the boiled beans as gourmet is overkill, here is an unpretentious snack that mingles bold Cajun taste with a single, all-natural ingredient. This blog has passed the "Boiled P-Nuts" stand in Crystal River, Fla. that this story mentions, and sweet sassy molassey do them p-nuts look right tasty, y'all. Not that all residents of Crystal River are hicks. That's a common misconception buttressed only by the fact that something like 96 percent of them are.
