"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

    SONG LYRIC OF THE DAY

Today's lyrical gem comes from esteemed poet James Hetfield of aging heavy metal quartet Metallica, who wrote:|

"Saint Anger 'round my neck/He never gets respect"

If that refrain weren't bad enough, Hetfield also shrieks "I'm madly in anger with you," four times in rapid succession as one of the poorest excuses for a bridge this blog has ever heard. At least the shredding guitar riffs are satisfactory, otherwise, this album would be headed for the Saint $6.99 Bargain Bin at Sam Goody's.
