    CULTURAL UPDATE

    This blog has learned to put up with the labels Hispanic, Latino, African-American and other such politically correct ways of identifying people (what's wrong with "white," "black," "Spanish?") but will somebody PLEASE tell this blog what the word "Chicano" means? If this blog didn't know any better, it would say that a Chicano is an individual who hails from a windy megalopolis in northwestern Illinois.
