"God only knows what is to happen. I see nothing impossible in that supposition. And I see things wonderfully contrived sometimes to make us happy. Where could they find such objects as in America for the exercise of their enchanting art? Especially the lady, who paints landscapes so inimirably. She wants only subjects worthy of immortality to render her pencil immortal. " --Thomas Jefferson, A Dialogue Between The Head and The Heart

    CHICKEN UPDATE

This blog reported yesterday that chickens were well on their way to becoming the trendy pet for the jet-set in suburban America. Today, this blog has discovered that multitudes of San Fransiscans are vying to adopt a chicken from an animal shelter after area firefighters rescued the bird from becoming KFC Crispy, as it was attached to 10 helium balloons as a prank and subsequently became entangled in a power line earlier this week. There is something seriously off-kilter in a country where people will compete to adopt poultry while foster care and group homes swell from an influx of unwanted children.
